Printmaking constitutes a performative art form by an oscillation between different factors: between figuration and abstraction of the image; between the (possible) figuration of the line and the embedded forces of the material; between sensory craftsmanship and awareness of the material’s properties. The printed image cannot be adequately defined as x but better be understood as a constant tremor, a perpetual movement that weaves through diverse entities.
Sugar Lift City is an artistic and educational platform for printmaking established by MA Christian Brink Grønnebæk and visual artist Olha-Anna Kapustiak in 2023.Sugar Lift City is supported by Odsherred Kommune, Goethe Institut (European Union), and Nordea Fonden.
